She stood at the bridge looking down at the reflection of the stars on the pond at the park. The water was still until a leaf from a tree nearby landed on it and made ripples.
As the ripples touched the stars they started to float above the water. The clock at the tower struck midnight and the stars started to elevate.
They were in line with the stars above and that's where they were going. From the other side of the bridge, where she wasn't looking, a swan took flight from the water, flew over her and with its wings it started to cut invisible threads that pulled the reflections upwards.
They fell back into the water without making a splash and she watched the swan fly away waiting to wake up if it was a dream.
